What do people mean by saying "it's an old lady name"? - nn young lola

I love the name Eleanor and Beatrice, with Elly and Bea NN. But I've heard soooo many commit says he is "old name, which leaves me confused. Why do not people expect their children to" old "class by name, is what we expect them to remain forever young? Eleanor Grandma Grandma sounds better IMO McKenna.

Sorry if I offended anyone

  1. I'm with you! ;)

Too often it seems that only a name, how to draw the best for a child in the range of 0 to 3 Consider too. Grow regrettable, since all these young "cute" names one days to adulthood - also called "old lady-Hood! LOL - you think, at least.:)

And Beatrice Eleanor or strange or "old" in a real adult? Of course not! LOL But all the little Kay, Jay-Lee and the names will probably be achieved with the juvenile, pointless and dated to the time (though) most of us. :)

It is a shame that only sympathy and innocence of a name is called, instead, as it (or maybe not), bring the child into adolescence and adulthood.

If you do something, "WorshipBLE, with a nickname, which is why they exist, after all. The names are not designed to place a baby.:) Life is much more than a year layer. McKenna grandmother "indeed! LOL

Edited to add: It seems that many are confused about timeless classics Disadvantages name "only" used prior generations are more familiar options. LOL While Beatrice, for example, is less widespread than it was years in the Top 1000 in most years since 1880 until now, and I saw him and Beatrice, in most lists of persons (), including me, so it does not say definitely that this will not be used easily. ;) Eleanor is an even clearer example, actually quite well known - if not corny - choice277 t. Frankly, very few names would be considered in the first 300 as unusual by most! And in reality is much more common than a generation ago, when I was at 5-700. It is actually judging on their usual level of use, which (seems to be more or less widely among more than 100 options for up to mid-200 with numbers from 1880 to 2006). It is a name, from left to past generations, by all means! :)

  2. I think people who are "against the old name," probably with the youth and "kyoot'ness and how you owned a baby name games. But you are old names for your child fit for life so I think well established "are perfect. Beautiful, too.

The name of a person is what they do. The baby name Eleanor and Beatrice and Constance Edith and Frances. Go to his name, and no one is twice before they consider the old name.

  3. You make a good point about the grandma McKenna, heehee

I think people just want to say that the tone of fashion. not many people these days on behalf of their children or Eleanor Beatrice, so that people can see that these names are bigger. I am sure that my intention not to offend.

I think that Beatrice is for me a kind of cute!

  4. Not only that these names are more traditional, such as Apple, but have become obsolete and are no longer used. There are many names that do not sound the grandmother to "traditional-ish," as Emily or Julie or Madeleine. Think about it, would be the only girl in her class with the same name as his great-great-great-aunt? Especially when all the other girls have funny sounding names on pencils personalized necklaces found novelty in their favorite store. The last time I checked, "Beatrice" is not the name of the main character of High School Musical.

  6. really, how many people are you with those names that are familiar to the children? When a baby name, name you old a baby to be. and no one wants a name that sounds like she should have listened to a grandmother.

in years 20 and 30, when the grandmothers are born to younger generations, have common names. Thus, young people attend these names with the names of their grandmothers or aunts or something.

  8. I agree that it is the old lady. But I'm not really in fashion these 'compound nouns' not today.

If I is for (name) after my grandmother, her name Colleen, I think, is the name of an old fountain. I've always hated.

Just pick a name that corresponds to your taste. Nicknamed them the way you want, because it is his son and his choice.

  9. I like classic names such as some new names that I do not want too.i incorrect spelling, ghetto, trailer park to know names.i Lookalike a name if the child is a boy or girl, no additional card or a nice "French" , a name that is not the place name, etc. must all.every word or object is not an appropriate name! I want people who common sense when naming their children and do not try so cute --- not! This is important and is the child's life and mold the person you have to love your child more of a trailer park gangsta fake names to make no future! Good luck!
